The Role

  • Prepare monthly salaries and tax/contributions returns;
  • Liaise with the HR department to ensure payroll data is processed accurately and in a timely manner;
  • Keep up-to-date with the changes in payroll/labour legislation and maintain timely communications with all parties impacted;
  • Ensure employee data is accurate and up-to-date at all times;
  • Prepare and post month-end salary journals per cost centre, for both statutory and intra-group reporting;
  • Data maintenance, ensure integrity and completeness of data, provide payroll administrative support;
  • Enact audit requirements and adhere to all Finance policies and procedures;
  • Participate in cost optimization programmes;
  • Manage the organization’s employee benefits programme;
  • Administrative support for the annual bonus and pay review process;
  • Review monthly timesheets, including on-call time, BIK’s, and all other staff payments.


  • Accounting Degree or equivalent;
  • 3-4 years of relevant working experience;
  • Previous experience in payroll accounting is a must; excellent knowledge of Romanian labour legislation; also, desirable to have previous management and general accounting experience;
  • Proficiency in English (verbal and written);
  • Computer proficiency and excellent MS Excel skills;
  • Team player, self-motivated, committed, pro-active, and results-oriented;
  • Good business and commercial acumen;
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills;
  • Ability to work independently and deliver excellent results without much supervision.
