We are looking for a dedicated, self-motivated, driven technical professional to lead and guide our team of engineers building high-end, highly scalable web applications and services within the Customer Acquisition team.

The successful candidate will be a strong leader, have exceptional technical and problem solving skills, with a positive, results driven attitude. Will be required to allocate and manage the team’s workload, take decisions on a day to day basis and be accountable for development deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Task management, allocation and delivery
  • Liaison between development and key stakeholders
  • Review product specifications in order to provide development estimates and product feedback
  • Innovative technical design and creative of technical specifications
  • Development effectiveness measurements and corrective actions in line with technology emerging practices
  • Balance the commercial need against technology capabilities
  • Development life-cycle, development standards and management of the technical risks
  • Development deliverables and documentation
  • 24×7 operational support for the owned product and components
  • Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion

Experience Required

  • Commercial development experience (whole life-cycle) in an enterprise environment
  • Experience developing distributed, redundant and transactional systems
  • Proven track record of leading and managing development teams on software projects
  • Experience of using agile methods for software delivery
  • Experience in Object Oriented Design
  • Experience using source code control in multi-branch environments
  • Experience using defect tracking systems
  • Knowledge of the betting industry is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering (or appropriate postgraduate qualification)
